Helpful Insights About Our Luxury Pet Resort
Thank you for your interest in Boujee Barkers Luxury Pet Resort. We understand that your dog is a beloved member of your family, and we work diligently to provide the love and care they deserve during their stay. We genuinely appreciate the trust our clients place in us, and you can be assured that we take this responsibility seriously. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring your complete satisfaction.
Leaving your dog at a pet care facility is similar to sending a child to daycare, school, or camp. While there are inherent risks associated with having multiple dogs in one place, many pet owners agree that the benefits of socialization and enrichment outweigh these concerns. The advantages, such as social interaction, exercise, access to bathroom breaks, and care from trained professionals, are significant compared to the minimal risks associated with a pet care facility.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your local Boujee Barkers. Our knowledgeable staff is always ready to assist you. With our strict operational policies and commitment to sanitation, our certified team takes every precaution to minimize risk, though it is important to note that some risks can never be completely eliminated.
We want to highlight some uncommon situations that can occur at any pet care facility. Please keep in mind that these are rare exceptions rather than the norm. The likelihood is over 99% that your dog will return home tired, happy, clean, and healthy.
Minor Cuts and Scrapes
During group play at Boujee Barkers, dogs love to engage in vigorous play and wrestling, which is fantastic for socialization and energy expenditure. While our trained supervisors monitor every playgroup, it's not unusual for dogs to leave with minor cuts or scrapes. We do not allow aggressive dogs in our facility, but occasional rough play may result in minor injuries. Although our team is attentive, some cuts may go unnoticed.
Canine Cough
Canine cough, or kennel cough, is akin to a mild cold in humans and is typically not serious. Most dogs recover without treatment. Unfortunately, pet care facilities may experience outbreaks of canine cough due to its airborne nature, similar to colds in childcare settings. Boujee Barkers utilizes advanced ventilation systems with UV lighting and hospital-grade disinfectants to maintain cleanliness. While we require all dogs to be vaccinated with the Bordetella vaccine prior to arrival, it’s important to note that this vaccine does not protect against all strains of canine cough.
Fleas and Ticks
While we take measures to prevent fleas and ticks at Boujee Barkers, it’s essential that your dog arrives free from these pests and is on preventative medication.
Tiredness
Life at Boujee Barkers is exciting! Many dogs expend a lot of energy, and it’s common for them to come home exhausted but happy, often sleeping a lot in the days following their stay.
Diarrhea
Changes in routine and environment can cause excitement-induced mild diarrhea in some dogs, similar to how humans may react to new situations. This is usually temporary.
Hoarseness
Excitement during their stay can lead to hoarseness in some dogs, much like what you might experience after shouting at a concert.
Weight Loss
Given the extensive playtime and exercise at Boujee Barkers, it's not uncommon for dogs to lose a bit of weight during their stay.
Nose Rubbing
Some dogs may become curious about the various sights and smells in our facility, leading them to rub their noses against doors. This can occasionally cause minor abrasions.
Baths
To ensure each guest leaves clean and fresh, we provide baths for dogs staying three days or more.
At Boujee Barkers, we do not cover veterinary expenses related to the situations mentioned above, as these conditions cannot be completely prevented in a boarding or daycare setting. Again, these scenarios are rare exceptions rather than the standard experience. The chances are better than 99% that your dog will return home tired, happy, clean, and healthy.
